Greely wins the State Championship 3-2!!! In what was to be legendary Coach Bob Anthoine's last game at the helm, Adam Lemieux scattered 7-hits and picked off 2 runners to keep the Rangers in this pitcher's duel. After the Windjammers scored 2 runs in the 2nd, Matt McBrady drove in Lemieux with a single to bring the Rangers within 1. Miles Hunt scorched a double down the third base line to drive in Lemieux with the tying run in the 5th inning. After Lemieux set down the meat of the Windjammer order 1-2-3 in the 8th inning, Miles Hunt led off with a single to deep short to get the Rangers started. After a strikeout, Matt McBrady hit a towering fly ball to the right-center wall to put runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. Tory Bals hit a shallow sacrifice fly to center, which gave Hunt enough time to tag up and score the winning run and send the Rangers to their 2nd State Championship in 3 years.
