The team collectively cruised to an 11-0 semi-final play-off victory and advanced to the Western Maine Regional Championship. Sophomore pitcher Jake Richardson delivered an outstanding play-off debut. He pitched a complete 2-hit shut-out game with 5 strike-outs and 3 walks. The Greely offense broke open the game with 4 runs in the fourth. Ryan Pote singled and stole second. Sam Green followed with a RBI single to right center. Green later scored on Chris Martin’s single. After Brad Martin singled and Kevin Burke reached on an error, Andrew Bisbing capped the inning with a RBI single. Greely continued to pound the ball in the fifth and sixth innings. Brad Martin blasted a two-run homerun to center in the fifth. The Rangers pushed four more runs across the plate in the sixth to end the game early by the mercy rule. In the sixth, Will Knight and Ryan Pote led off the inning with singles. Sam Green stroked a RBI single and Chris Martin reached on an error scoring Pote. Ryan Copp added an exclamation point with a thunderous blast deep over the left field fence. Greely improved to 14-5. Lincoln Academy ended its season at 12-6.
