Cape nips Greely in seventh (5/5/2005) - Greely 3 at Cape Elizabeth 4
| The Cape Elizabeth Capers scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to beat Greely 4-3 in a rematch of last year’s Western Maine Championship. The winning run was scored with two outs on a single to right.
Greely started the scoring in the first. Chris Martin reached on an error, stole second and later scored on Caleb Jordan’s hard single to right. Down 3-1 in the fourth, Jordan and Matt McDonough led off with walks. Christian Robinson bunted them to second and third and Kevin Burke singled both home.
Cape improved to 5-1. Greely fell to 4-3.
