The Greely Rangers scored 2 runs in the sixth inning and 3 runs in the top of the seventh to break open a close game and cruise to a 7-1 win at Freeport. Nate Mecray made his first varsity start on the mound and went 5 innings, allowed 3 hits, no earned runs, and struck-out 5 and walked none. Andrew Cimino pitched the final 2 innings, allowed no runs on 1 hit and earned a save in his first varsity appearance on the mound. Matt McDonoughs 2-out, 2 RBI double in the third supplied all the runs the Rangers would need. Ryan Robb added a 2 RBI single in the sixth and Shawn Sanville added a 2 RBI single in the seventh. Ryan Robb fiished with 4 of the Rangers 12 hits.
