Greely Advances with Comeback for the Ages (6/9/2007) - Mountain Valley 6 at Greely 7

With perhaps the greatest comeback in Maine High School Baseball play-off history, the Greely Rangers scored 6 runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Mountain Valley 7-6 in the semi-finals. Sam Stauber led off the seventh with a walk, Nate Martin was hit by a pitch and Andrew Cimino singled to right to load the bases. Ryan Robb followed with a 2 RBI double to left center and Matt Reade walked to load the bases again. Caleb Jordan drove in a run on a force-out at third. Matt McDonough followed with a single to right and Brandon Gallagher walked to load the bases again. After a strike-out, Sam Stauber tied the game with a bases loaded walk. Nate Martin finished the miracle comeback with a single up the middle scoring pinch-runner Kevin Hart and sending the Greely players and fans into celebration. Brandon Gallagher earned the win with one and third innings of relief.
