Greely rolls over Gray in regular season finale (5/31/2005) - Greely 7 at Gray-New Gloucester 2

The Greely Rangers scored 2 runs in both the first and second inning in cruising to a 7-2 win over Gray. Caleb Jordan pitched 5 strong innings to get his second win of the season.

In the first, Chris Martin started a two-out rally with a single to center and promptly stole second. Jon Alley followed with a RBI single and later scored on Caleb Jordan’s single to left. In the second, Kevin Burke walked, stole second and later scored on an infield error. Chris D’Allesandro also singled and later scored on Chris Martin’s ground-out in the second inning.

That was all the runs the Rangers would need as Jordan pitched 5 strong innings, allowing only 1 run, 5 hits, 3 walks while striking-out 5. Jon Alley, recovering from a hand injury pitched the final 2 innings. Alley allowed 1 run, 1 hit, 1 walk while striking-out 2.

The Rangers added 3 insurance runs in the sixth. Steve Morse walked to lead off the inning. Pinch-runner, Mike D’Allesandro stole second and moved to third on Chris D’Allesadnro’s single. Joe Bell followed with a sacrifice fly. Chris Martin capped the scoring with a RBI single to right.

Greely ended the regular season at 10-6.
